Blind
Justice
This recently formed Houston-area guitar duo,
is tonight's musical entertainment. Wally
Brannon and Joel Marlowe originally
came together in 1983 and over the past 25 years
have shared many a stage as band members or
duo partners. The name Blind Justice was taken
from the name of a song Wally wrote when he
was in prison ... well, not really, but you'll
have to come hear them to get the true story
behind the song.

Texas Songwriter Showcase
Some of the best singer
songwriters from around the state of Texas grace
the JPHH stage on the second Friday of each month.
The featured artists for this evening's showcase
are Larry
Selpulvado and Gary
Seber.
Larry Selpulvado:
A renowned local Houston musician and talented
songwriter, Larry grabs your attention with his
foot stompin' tunes. In November, Larry will be
celebrating the release of his new album, 'cajun
cats, creole dogs' - songs of Americana,
rootsy, Cajun swamp rock!
Gary Seber:
When you first hear Gary play, you may find it
impossible to believe that you're hearing just
one musician! He has studied the "acoustic
percussive fingerstyle" of Preston Reed with
it's two-handed fretboard attack. Gary's debut
CD, entitled Candle Power, features the
highly innovative but little-known technique of
playing the neck of an open-tuned guitar, coaxing
an amazing abundance of sound from the solo instrument.
Willie B:
Willie describes himself as a bluesy guitar player,
but he is so much more. He is a gifted and diverse
guitar player who writes and performs in many
musical genres. Willie writes and sings songs
around the people in his life. He has been a past
recipient of HFBSA's "Song of the Year"
and "Songwriter of the Year". Willie
has recorded four albums to date and is currently
working on his fifth solo project.
The Texas Songwriters' Showcase
is the longest running showcase in Houston. These
songwriters will take to the stage to entertain
you with colossal musical talent and wide-ranging
experience ... you will not be disappointed.

often intertwined with various ethnic and indigenous

mastery of the strings. His incredible skills
on the guitar makes him a truly amazing lead

Hank
Woji &
Brian Mullins
This Jersey born singer
songwriter has quietly been building a strong
catalog of work and an avid following since his

was a finalist in the 2007 South Florida Folk
Festival Songwriting Contest and the Suwannee
Springfest 2007 Songwriting Competition. His first

in 2005, combined elements of folk, blues, and
rock with Brasilian, Cuban, African and Indian
rhythms. For his work on Medallion, Hank was nominated
for the 2006 Producer of the Year Award, by the
Academy of Texas Music. His next album is currently
in production.
Joining Hank onstage tonight
is Brian Mullins, a newcomer to the JPHH stage.
Tonight's performance
