HAAM Showcase
Tonight we welcome a gathering of 'haamsters' - Houston Association of Accoustic Musicians - Mark Beets, April

Kelly and Steven Jamail.Mark has a sound which has been called "Organic Americana". According to Ken Gaines, fellow musician, "Mark's music will sneak up on you. One minute you're listening politely and the next minute you're either laughing or crying your eyes out." It's fresh, different from most of the stuff out there today.Someone said that April writes like "Carole King meets Sheryl Crow" and has a strong voice reminiscent of Carly Simon. But, as nice as these comparisons are, April has a sound that's truly all her own...My Texas Music describes Steven's work as, "...genuine, pure, honest music that reflects the essence of the artist and the experiences he writes about. It's a pleasure to listen to lyrics and have the music match the mood of the story being told." Three superbly talented artists on one bill, who could ask for more?
