David Brake & That Damn Band
Texas y’alternative? Well ... is it country? Alternative rock? Adult contemporary? A modern Texas blues hybrid? – The answer is yes. "It’s all about the song," explains David, "I like that it can’t be categorized... It just depends on the song." Opening set this evening by Tom Tranchilla.

November 6, 2004 - Saturday
The Dealers
The Dealers' music is always fun – its musical personality ranges from heart-felt acoustic ballads to groove-based electric rock, with an occasional improv jam. The band has just returned from a tour promoting their latest CD and DVD Live at Tambaleo. It was the first time they've been on the road together and it was a great excuse for this Austin-based band to get out of the Texas heat for a few weeks.
One thing is certain – the Dealers live show is a must-see. Come on out and give the boys from Austin a rousing welcome; show 'em Houston's love for live music.

November 20, 2004 - Saturday
The Moe Hansum Band

This 5-member band,
hailing from Houston, Texas, performs Americana music with a strong emphasis on traditional acoustic blues. Their Texas-bred music blends folk blues

with a splash of the soul and rhythm of the Mississippi Delta. In concert the band presents a variety of their original tunes, complemented by little-known covers from artists such as Bukka White, Robert Johnson and Jimmy Reed. The Moe Hansum Band has been together in many incarnations since the early 1990's.
They have performed at the Kerrville Folk Festival as well as Antones in Austin, Houston's Continental Club and Dan Electro's Guitar Bar. The band is also a favorite at house concerts and private parties, often joined by one or more special guests. And it so happens, tonight they will have two very special "sitt'n in w/Moe" guests: Susan Alcorn on pedal steel and Oliver Steck on trumpet, harmonica and accordian. The stage alone will be a sight to behold with all the musical instruments! Come join us for the return of Moe Hansum, a band of exceptionally talented musicians.

Willie B & Jen Rathbun
Join us for great local music this holiday weekend as JPHH welcomes a house full of house favorites.

Jen Rathbun, award winning singer/songwriter/pianist, and now a Platinum Plus Universal recording artist (we're so proud of her)will be sharing the stage with WIllie B. Her latest CD featuring nouveau jazz/cabaret originals was released last month here at JPHH.
