Texas Songwriter Showcase
Some of the best singer songwriters from around the state of Texas grace the JPHH stage on the second Friday of each month. The featured artists for this evening's showcase are Bill Caberra and Zed Daniels. Bill Cabrera: The first song he wrote took first place in a songfest at Santa Clara University in 1969. His first CD, Lahaina Nights, was recorded in Maui with friends Norton Buffalo (Steve Miller Band) and Stu Blank (Van Morrison). Bill is currently co-hosting the HAAM radio show every Monday. Zed Daniels: His catchy and provocative compositions tap into the soul, covering the lighter and darker sides of life. Zed's message is honest and hopeful, one that will stick with you and make you think and feel from a different perspective. All you have to do is listen. He'll pull you in and keep you there with him...
Michael Pope: Co-founder and co-host of this showcase, Michael has been writing songs for a couple years now. Many of his original's are open tuned, 5 finger picking, folk jazz instrumentals, but his lyrics are strong and reflect his life's experiences. Michael recently released his debut album.
Willie B: Willie describes himself as a bluesy guitar player, but he is so much more. He is a gifted and diverse guitar player who writes and performs in many musical genres. Willie writes and sings songs around the people in his life. He has won "Song of the Year" and "Songwriter of the Year" in HFBSA. Willie has recorded four albums to date.
